Haute Halloween

This year, instead of carving my pumpkins, I decided to transform them into Karl and his feline friend, Choupette. How chic are they?!

The Corset

Corset by quincy-braham

I'll never forget the first time I saw Madonna's "Express Yourself" performance in her 1991 documentary "Truth or Dare". The way she peels away her blazer to reveal Gaultier's satin corset-style bodysuit taught me about sexual liberation as well as a new fashion statement all at the same time. Personally, I've always loved mixing menswear with more body conscious pieces to create bolder and edgier looks. Lately, I've noticed corsets make their way onto the streets of fashion, so I decided to style a few looks of my own based around this signature female garment.

Stuntin' like my Caddy

Top: Forever 21 (similar) // Skirt: Forever 21 (similar) // Booties: Forever 21 (similar) // Bag: Rebecca Minkoff // Sunglasses: Givenchy

The weather in Los Angeles is finally beginning to cool down and I couldn't be happier. It's officially time to pull out the wool turtlenecks and leather trousers that have been collecting dust in the back of my closet.  Although I do love clear blue skies and a nice summer breeze, there's something about fall that gives me an overwhelming amount of giddiness and nostalgia.

When it comes fall fashion, I believe that building a perfect wardrobe starts with a solid foundation of  classic and timeless pieces. For example, this leather mini skirt from Forever 21 is a perfect addition to anyones wardrobe because of it's versatility and practicality. You can pair it with a cropped turtleneck and booties (like I did above) for a daytime look or dress it up with a nice blouse and a pair of skinny heeled sandals for more of an evening look.

#Balmainarmy Baby Shower

Dress: Forever 21 // Blazer: Forever 21 // Shoes: Steve Madden // Sunglasses:  Desi Perkins x Quay "High Key"

A few weeks ago I got the chance to go to my very first baby shower and it was so much fun!   Everything from the gourmet catering to the personalized Photo Booth was impeccably beautiful and perfectly executed by my aunt's sister. Since I had never been to a baby shower before, I wasn't sure what attire would be appropriate for the occasion. So I went to Forever 21 and immediately fell in love with this oversized satin army green blazer which reminded me a lot of Balmain (#Balmainarmy). The entire look (aside from the shoes and sunnies) was around $50 and everyone at the shower thought that I had gone to Barney's #fakeittilyoumakeit
